Here are some fact the parents should know:

 ⇒ EDGE camp is a Catholic camp organized by the Archdiocese of Toronto in conjunction with the Office of Catholic Youth (OCY)

 ⇒ EDGE camp includes fun camp activities as well as mass, faith talks and interaction with priests/devout Catholic people

 ⇒ EDGE camp is for students currently in Grades 5-8

 ⇒ EDGE camp is at Camp New Moon

 ⇒ EDGE camp registration is on a first come first served basis

 ⇒ EDGE camp is 4 nights & 5 days from approx. Monday August 17th morning - approx. noon Friday August 21st 2015

 ⇒ EDGE camp is paid for entirely by the parents; cost of camp is $400 which includes:

Accommodations (youth stay in gender specific cabins)
Meals; all meals are provided with options for those with dietary restrictions
Transportation to and from camp (pick up/drop off will be at the Church)
Instructors for specialized activities which can include: swimming, high/low ropes, canoeing/kayaking and so much more
A backpack with goodies and a t-shirt (this has lots of fun stuff!)
Cost to facilitate camp with guest speakers, music and Catechetical Sessions
EDGE camp is fully supervised by volunteers (adults and teens); our ratio is 7:1
There is always a nurse on duty in case of emergency

Young Adult Bible Study

Journey Through Scripture - Bible Study for Young Adults 18-35

All young adults ages 18-35 are invited for a bible study lead by Fr. Hansoo Park in the parish hall. It will begin on June 3rd and runs for 6 Wednesdays, full details below.

Humanitarian Relief for Nepal

Funds will be channeled through the official global Catholic relief agency, Caritas Internationalis. To date, Caritas members worldwide have pledged $3.3 million to the relief effort as well as 10,000 shelter kits and 3,000 tarps. Financial assistance will help to provide temporary shelter, water, sanitation and hygiene supplies as relief operations gear up.

Catholic Education Week May 3-8 “Exploring Paths of Joy”

The Catholic schools in our parish will engage in a series of events to celebrate the ongoing gift of publicly-funded Catholic education. You are invited to discover what celebrations are happening in your children’s school and if possible, attend. Publicly-funded Catholic education has existed in Ontario since 1841 and its graduates have served Ontario and Canada very well. The current generation of students in our publicly-funded Catholic schools will serve with the same spirit and generosity as their previous generations.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations

April 26, 2015 is designated at the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. It is an opportunity for the faith community to pray and celebrate vocations, especially to the priesthood in the Archdiocese of Toronto.

This year we keep Rev. Mr. Ricardo Davis and Rev. Mr. David Twaddle in our prayers as they will ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 9th. In anticipation of their ordination, the Office of Vocations is hosting a Holy Hour for Vocations and Prayer Vigil. All parishioners are welcome to attend.

7pm Mass, Holy Hour, Adoration to 9pm
Let’s pray together for an increase in vocations especially to priesthood, consecrated life and healthy marriages.
